Cheats are certain codes you may enter to the talking rock (upper left-hand corner next to the wizard) to gets some bonuses; the following are a list of most known ones. The codes are NOT case-sensitive. Using these while the rock is sentient has no effect until you have worn down the "uses" of the sentient rock (all lines on the picture go dark).
There are also some other cheats that are noted down below the Rock cheat codes that affect the game in some way
